Topic: New Year (05/09/05)
The year is drawing to an end --
The days have so quickly flown!
'Tis time to assess deeds I've done
And the seeds that I have sown!
If my seconds were but dollars,
A millionaire I would be!
Rich I am with personal time --
How I spend it's up to me!
Have I spent my moments wisely?
To benefit all around?
How many hours were spent with God?
In His Word faithfully found?
Did I meet the needs of fam'ly?
Giving time to grandkids small?
Teaching them all God's timeless truths
Enjoying them, one and all?
Did God's handiwork still thrill me?
Did I keep my body trim?
Listen well when God spoke to me?
Were my ears in tune with Him?
How many people did I help
Who knew a physical need?
Do I have souls to my account
That from sin's dread grip were freed?
Did my mate and I grow closer,
With desire to serve God more?
Or is each day more tedious
Each task an unwanted chore?
My times are in God's loving Hands...
Yet so much depends on me!
In the NEW YEAR I'll do His will --
My life, then,worthy will be!

Loved the "conviction" you wrote with. A very "reflective" poem. We need more reminders like this in all of our lives.
