The notice went out to all the people. “You are required to send donations of cash and kind. Please give only if you are willing to give. The tabernacle of God will be constructed out of your gifts.”
“I have a vision” began the leader. He was addressing skilled workmen. “We need to make a tabernacle. It will be worthy of the presence of our God. He Himself has told me how to build it and furnish it. He has also chosen you to execute this job. Please collect the donations of cash and kind from the people and start the project.” He instructed.
The donations kept pouring in. The workers were busy all the time. They received the money, sorted the gifts in kind. The project seemed to be a huge success. There was near pandemonium as they tried to deal with the pouring in of the gifts in kind. The men in charge were tired.
They went to the boss. “Sir,” they said, “All that we need and more we have received. Now we don’t know what we can do with all these additional donations. They seem to be coming in all the time. We are not able to keep track of them. Very soon the stores will overflow. What shall we do Sir?”
The leader smiled. The glow on his face was difficult to gaze at. He said, “Is that true? Are you guys sure that all that you need for the construction of the Temple has come in?”
“We are very sure. We have received more than enough. We are not able to begin our work as we are still receiving donations.” They chimed.
“I’ll do one thing then. I’ll send a notice now that the people need not send any more donations. That will stop the inflow of donations. What I want is that you guys get on with the work. We are in the business of building the temple. Not in that of amassing donations. Is that all right?” opined the leader.
“Sure Sir” assented the workers. They went back straight to their work spot. They left their leader Moses beaming.
