TITLE: Grandma's Little Yellow Phone Bool | Previous Challenge Entry

I was walking down beside the lonely railroad tracks. I couldn’t see any train lights, and I couldn't hear any train whistle blowing.
All of a sudden to my amazement, I looked down beside the tracks and there was a little yellow wet phone book. All the inscriptions in the book were wet. Some of the ink was running together.
I picked up the wet yellow phone book, and I thought to myself, this is grandma’s phone book that had blown a couple feet from where she always sat waiting for the M train to pulled into the Alexander station.
Grandma stayed very sad for a month; Her favorite sister Nina before she died had bought grandma that little yellow phone book for a birthday present
It was quiet and I didn’t hear any whistle blowing.
Looking down beside the tracks, I stumbled upon a coin that was dated 1930. I didn’t know if the coin was of any value. I had not kept up with the coin collection books. If anyone knew some value about old coins, it was my grandma. She was born in 1885. Grandma always could tell the coins that had great value.
A little ways down the lonely tracks were broken soda bottles, and an old broken purple pocket book.
I took grandma’s little wet yellow phone book and my 1930 coin and place it into the old broken purple pocket book. The pocket book was wet, but I had to protect grandma’s little wet yellow phone book and my coin.
It was time to be heading back home. I made a U-turn and started back down past the Simmons farm. I continue to walk down beside the lonely railroad tracks.
I kept looking back making sure that there was no lights coming from a train.
I proceed to walk down beside the lonely tracks. I could see my house wasn’t far away.
Four more feet towards Rose’s Grocery Store, and I was home.
I couldn’t wait to get home to show grandma what I had founded. I wanted to see the happy expression on her face.
When I walked in the house grandma had company.
It was her neighbor from down the road Mrs. Watson.
I wanted so anxiously to tell grandma that I founded her wet yellow phone book, but she was busy talking.
I took the wet yellow phone book out of the broken purple pocket book, and I put it on the kitchen table.
Also on the kitchen table was a chocolate cake that grandma had baked. I could smell the cake before I came into the house.
Mrs. Watson was getting ready to leave, and on her way to the door, she asked grandma if she could have a slice of her chocolate cake. Grandma laughs. Mrs. Watson thinks grandma is joking. Grandma was always a person to speak her mind. She told Mrs. Watson "every time you bake a cake, you never send me a slice." Mrs. Watson asked again, and grandma said "no." I told grandma "selfishness is not nice." Grandma said, "selfishness I am not, I love sharing my food, but Mrs. Watson doesn't like sharing her food." I said to grandma, " I am going to get the (GNB) and show you the selfishness of Cain towards the Lord.
Abel became a shepherd, but Cain was a farmer. After some time Cain brought some of this harvest and gave it as an offering to the Lord. Then Abel brought the first lamb born to one of his sheep, killed it, and gave the best parts of it as an offering. Cain became furious, and he scowled in anger. Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why that scowls on your face? If you had done the right thing, you would be smiling, but because you have done evil, sin is crouching at your door. It wants to rule you, but you must overcome it." GENESIS 3:4
You see grandma; Cain had that selfishness of a spirit. He should have given the LORD much more of his harvest. His brother Abel was very generous with his sheep. He made sure the Lord had the better part of the sheep.
So what I am saying to you grandma start sharing with your neighbors and they must share too. Because if you don't, and you remain with that selfishness spirit the LORD in his time will punish you and Mrs. Watson.
After, Mrs. Watson left with a big piece of cake, I was glad to give grandma her wet yellow phone book. She jumped up and praised the LORD. She didn't care if the phone book was wet, she was glad that I had found her little yellow phone book. From that day grandma held tight to her phone book and she cherished it for many years.
