Calling On the Lord For Help
Since the beginning of time, all of us have had to call on the Lord for his HELP. It’s a small word but is a powerful plea when in a time of sincere need. We try to be strong and always strive to do our best, but we are quickly humbled as we go through the test. Hear this, all people as you fall to your knees when life’s struggles get too hard to conceive. “Look to the Heavens from whence all things do come and know and believe that the battle will be won.”
Even the voice of our little ones are quickly heard, like the day when the plane crashed in the country of Sudan. As the little baby boy was found screaming “help me,” as he rested on a tree branch holding it in his hands. It is truly a revelation to see and even greater to know, that our Heavenly Father was there to fulfill that special childs’ needs, even before he began to grow.
In times of struggles and moments of great distress like this or perhaps in illness or even in death. Remember to take a second and fall on your knees and give Him your request. As you pray and ask the Comforter to help you through another test. When we feel that we are sad and all alone, don’t pick up the phone, just call on Jesus and he’ll be sure to come to your home.
One day as I was driving, my car went flying through the air, after a man who was passing in the opposite direction caused me to feel great fear. Once again I screamed to my Savior, “Please Help Me, dear Friend!”
Another time which was hard to forget, was the day that my sister Debbie had left. She was only 21 years old but her purpose in life was already met. However, I became angry and began to ask God “why did you take my sweet sister away to live with you in the sky?” For three years I grieved and did not find comfort until I finally realized that My Heavenly Father was just putting her to rest.
So, friends no matter what day or time it is, when the spiritual battle gets too tough. Pick up your bible and believe as you read Psalms 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (KJV)
