Topic: LOVE (11/18/21)
It is hard to hug somebody when I feel mad or rejected. For example if my husband says that I am selfish then he says
“ You will have to face God for what I have done” Like wait a minute! I thought that God is loving, and forgiving. Sure a lot of us have sinned, but Jesus forgives those who forgive others.

My daughter is not a very loving daughter towards me or my husband. She is bossy, and she called me “white trash” or retarded. It is hard for me not to get upset. There was a time when I had an outburst with her when she demanded money from me because I bought her the wrong body wash. My husband did not defend me at all. Instead he told to give my daughter the money, and I did but I disliked the way she treated me. I took my son and daughter to church, and they attended a Christian elementary school. They both attended a catholic high school.
I believe if my daughter was a Christian then she would likely be more loving, and unselfish with me. My son is more loving, but I don’t know if he decided be a follower of God or not. I pray for them every night. I know that I can embrace the Lord any time I want.

There is a TON of potential in this story. However, in its current form, it only comes off as a tired rant or confession of a worn out person.

It would be EASY to hook a reader with the material at hand because so many people have felt rejection, lack of appreciation, scorn, etc., by those they love.

First, it would be better to put this into 3rd person ... to "protect the guilty!"

Second, start with an actual scene, with real dialog. SHOW the reader your daughter's behavior. Show your husband's criticism.

This is such a hot topic because many are ruled by criticism rather than compassion. Get your reader to feel that!

Take all that raw emotion you expressed and craft it into a heartfelt story. You will have SO many readers cheering for you!

Have you ever tried expressing your frustration in writing poetry? Ask God to give you the right words for each stanza, and you will be surprised how easy it is to understand your predicament. Just a thought. Keep on writing! God Bless!

Your title is so fitting for your entry, as that is what we all need to do. Embrace Him, in all times...good and bad...and the discourse in which we feel will be wiped away by His love.

My heart aches for the MC. It sounds like she is in a horrible situation. Because God does love us, he also understands us and wants us to be safe and able to fulfill our purpose, which can be difficult to do if we don't feel loved and appreciated by our family. I think God could use your words to help someone find a way out of an abusive situation. He loves us so much that he provides counselors, friends, and support system. Your words will reach many and made me stop and pray for many people who are in the same position as your MC.
