Topic: EXPECTATION (01/28/21)
I am excited when I think about the rapture, when Christ comes to get His church and take us to heaven. This will be an exhilarating experience; one which we can look forward to with joy and happiness. It will be by far the most exciting thing that has happened to us in our entire lives. Our entire Christian life has been lived in anticipation of this great and glorious event.

One minute we could be vacuuming the carpet, or cleaning the bathroom, or any number of other mundane tasks, when suddenly Christ comes on the scene to rescue us from an earthly existence that is at the same time both frustrating and rewarding. Rewarding because Christ wants us to bring Him glory and honor, and frustrating since we often find it nearly impossible to bring Him either.

God wants to reward us for the things we have done for Him, but sometimes these are the things we may not have done with pure motives. In that case, our deeds will be put into a junk pile and burned. However, the things we have done for the Lord that are truly good will come through the fire and will be classified as gold, silver, and precious stones.

I am looking forward to meeting the Lord face to face one day. It will be good to see Him in all His glory and to realize He knows all about me, and yet still loves me. It is amazing that He will reward all of us who know Him as Savior for doing the things we know we should do, and doing them in the best way we know how.

He will know exactly how to reward us, and He will know what we will enjoy the most. He knows all about us and knows what is best for each of us. He will be able to reward us in such a way that we will not be able to express our gratitude to Him properly, but that will not matter since He only does His best for us. He does not expect us to repay Him for all His goodness, because He knows we cannot.

Praise to God, we can never out give the Lord!

You have written about your obedience to the Scripture. Every moment we are to be doing as you have written, looking for His return, and when we do, we "purify ourselves."
