A voice broke the silence “Come on in. I have a pot of coffee ready for you. Sit down. Maybe you’ll get the help you need.”
Easing himself into the old chair, the visitor sipped slowly and whispered, “I’m not sure I should be here. I don’t know why I came. I should leave…”
“Nonsense,” replied the voice, which was now attached to a white-haired man who likewise was now seated in the chair opposite the stranger. “You’re here because you’re supposed to be…your grandfather sent you.”
“But, I don’t need any help…”
“Fifteen years!” shouted the old man.
“Pardon me,” replied the stranger, awkwardly.
“Fifteen years,” repeated the old man… “and you still love it”
“Love what?” queried the visitor.
“SIN!” stated the old man emphatically. “That’s why you’re here.”
Eyes closed, the stranger took a long draught from his mug. Opening them, he saw a dimly lit room with a chair and a small lamp. Under the chair sat stacks of magazines. Listening, he heard the distinct sound of computer keys being punched. Momentarily, the figure of a man hunched over a computer was illumined. A slight gurgling sound echoed forth, followed by panting.
Quickly, the visitor’s eyes became fixated on the pornographic images of the well-worn magazines. Gazing down, he saw that they had been thoroughly examined. Some of the pages were violently torn. One magazine was peppered with bite marks. A slimy substance covered them and led toward the hunched figure.
Detestably, the figure’s hands dripped with an oily substance. The computer screen portrayed more lurid images. A book entitled, “Holy Bible” sat on the left side of the computer table.
Peeking at the figure’s face, the visitor was horrified as the hunched creature licked the computer screen. Smelly ooze poured forth from every orifice while the creature wiped his face with a stained-soaked towel.
Momentarily, the word LUST shone on the creature’s forehead. Wiping his nose again, the vile thing looked up.
Horrified, the onlooker staggered back…for the eyes that stared back at him here none other than his own.”
Reeling from the vision, the stranger dumped his coffee on the old man’s floor. Chuckling, the old man gently wiped the hardwood dry.
“You had it hidden it well, my friend. But what you didn’t realize is that your sin would simply not stay put. Sin is a spiritual entity and in your case, it is the spirit of lust. What you didn’t realize is that by hiding your sin all these years, you and that spirit were becoming…one. You have just seen an image of reality…within you! Most things you see are not truly real. What you just saw in the spiritual…now that is real…albeit quite repulsive. But all sin is vile in reality.
The great deception of sin is that it is harmless. It isn’t.
You have chosen to become one with this spirit to the point where there is no distinction in the spiritual realm between the two of you. You love your sin and want to keep it. At the same time, you want Christ and especially, His blessings on your life.
Your spiritual sense has deadened. You are rejecting your Lord. Your union with lust is nearly complete. Lust is saying, ‘believe in God…but look at these pictures…don’t you love them?’
It comes down to passion…to what you love. This is all very clear in the spiritual realm.
Soon though, your passion will change because your Lord loves you far more than you love your lust. It is God who deals with sin because he is the only one who can. Sin is a spiritual entity. It began in the spiritual realm. God dealt with sin first, there. He also deals with it in us, individually. This is the stage upon which you stand now.
You are about to get a new START. But separation must come first. There must be a gap between you and your lust. Now this separation may be a brutal experience for you, but it must occur.
Next, there must be a polarization within you between you and your lust.
Ultimately, there must be abandonment by you of this enemy. And praise be to your Lord, he can and will make it happen. At the start, it will be excruciating, but in the end you will be free.”
