Spinning at such a fast pace,
My body is plastered against the outer wall.
I am stuck in time,
For the length of the ride.
No control over my own movement.
Stuck in jobs to pay the bills.
Caught up in gossip.
Drama drives existence.
We are what we eat, so to speak.
Becoming what we take in.
Soaking in murky bath water.
Waiting for someone to pull the drain plug,
And fill the tub with fresh clean water.
Soaking and waiting….
One simple movement
Can change the water.
A decision to slow the ride
Restores my ability to move.
Moving toward less chaos
Stepping outside of the cage, I’m off the ride.
Out of the whispers of the mind.
Quiet peace turns now.
Breathing fresh air.
Soaking in love and light.
Sweet silence of a calm mind.
Contentment in Christ,
Drowns out the noise of life.
Judges 5:11 (KJV)
They that are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water,
There shall they rehearse the righteous acts of the Lord,
Even the righteous acts toward the inhabitants of his villages in Israel:
Then shall the people of the Lord go down to the gates.
