And our sorrows --
We carry our yesterdays
On our way
To our tomorrows --
We carry our loss
And gain --
We carry our joy
And pain --
We carry a fragile heart --
We carry unforgiveness --
We carry the end
From the start --
We close the top
As our fate
Is sealed within --
While we seek redemption
From our earthly sin...
When we arrive
At the pearly gates
With our luggage
In hand --
It is then
That we will fully
Know what is inside
And we will truly
Understand...
So when you
Pack your luggage
On your way
To eternity --
Be sure to choose
Each item
Very carefully
For the luggage
With which
You arrive
Will be left
Outside the pearly gates
Of heaven
And you will
Find that by God
You will be
Forever welcome...
