Into a world of darkest night
the Christmas Light was born.
A light to shine for all humankind,
the Christmas Light was born.
To save the lost and those in doubt,
the Christmas Light was born.
To light the way of truth and faith,
the Christmas Light was born.
Come purify and cleanse our hearts,
O holy Christmas Light.
You set us free from sin’s decree,
O holy Christmas Light.
Illuminate our hardened hearts,
O holy Christmas Light.
Our hearts inspire with holy fire,
O holy Christmas Light.
Light to the blind, good news to the poor,
praise to the Christmas Light!
You heal our souls and make us whole,
praise to the Christmas Light!
All nations bow before Your name,
praise to the Christmas Light!
And hope shall flame and peace shall reign,
praise to the Christmas Light!
In our hearts reign forevermore,
Jesus our Christmas Light.
Your light we’ll shine for all humankind,
Jesus our Christmas Light.
