Between the mountain
Peaks
There lies the valley
Green --
There lies
The opportunity
To walk on level land --
There flows
The easy stream…
Between the mountain
Peaks
There daisies flower
And the grass
Is filled with dew --
The birds flow
On currents
And God’s eye
Is ever upon you…
He knows that
From one mountain
To the next
The valley is the place
He chooses
For you to be --
He knows that
Soon
The looming
Mountain ahead
Will once again
Require
That you have
This needed rest
In the valley you
Now see…
For next there
Will be a test
And in His omniscience
He knows
That you will
Will need the respite
In the valley green
And that you
Will soon remember
This peaceful
Earthly scene…
He knows that
From one peak
Of life
To the one
Just beyond
The grassy floor
That the valley
Is the place
Where you He
Will restore…
He knows that
The valley
Before you
Is a season
Of destined time --
A time
Of refreshing
When you gain
Your strength
For the next mountain
You must climb…
