Entering the gym, she immediately noticed the six-foot tall life-like image of her brother with all of his muscles, bulging in glory. Above the image, a sign read, “Perfection Personified”. Sky felt a huge lump in her throat and swallowed hard.
“Sis, what are you doing here?” He asked in his usual deep monotone.
“Mosaic, I need to ask a favor.” She mumbled.
“Speak up Sky. I don't have much time. My second gym just opened, and I have a bodybuilding competition next week.” He shouted.
“I need a job Mosaic. My hours were cut, and I am having trouble paying for school and rent.” She said, her voice quivering.
“Who spends money to go to school to cut hair?” “What a waste of money and time!” He clamored.
As a wave of momentary confidence surged through her, Sky shouted, “I will be a cosmetologist and have my salon one day!” “You will see!”
“Yeah right, Sis.” “You couldn't even pass seventh grade without repeating it.” He snarled.
“So, do you have a job for me?” She pleaded.
“No Sis.” “You neither have the physique nor the self-confidence to work here.” He said assertively.
“But I can do anything Mosaic.” “Even janitorial work after hours!” She cried.
“No, I have a professional cleaning company do that.” “Why don't you get a part-time job at one of those fast food joints you frequent so much.” He patronized.
“But Mosaic!” She cried out loud.
“Enough!” He shouted. He stormed out of the room, leaving Sky standing all alone.
Sky wept bitterly as she left the gym and walked back to her apartment. Just as she unlocked the door, the phone began to ring.
“Hello.” She stammered, still weeping.
“Sky, this is Adrian.” “What is wrong, Sky?” He asked.
“I have had the most horrible day.” She sniffled.
“I am going to grab Chinese from your favorite place.” “I will be there in about twenty minutes.” Adrian insisted.
“Okay.” “See you then, thanks.” Sky said as she hung up the phone.
Twenty minutes later, Adrian arrived with three bags of Chinese. As he placed them on the kitchen table, he asked. “So, what happened today?”
“You know that I have been struggling financially.” “Well, today I went to see Mosaic about a second job.” She replied.
“Judging from your smeared makeup and all the tissues on the couch, I would say that it didn't go well,” Adrian said sympathetically.
“No, it did not go well.” “He belittled and rejected me as usual.” Sky sobbed.
“Sky, I am your best friend and I have known you since grammar school.” “So, I can tell you that your brother is a prideful, arrogant, heartbreaker, and he has always been that way.”
“Do you have your NKJV bible handy?” Adrian asked.
“Yes, it is right here.” She said as she retrieved it from the coffee table.
“Right here, in Psalms 11:2, it reads.”
“For look! The wicked bend their bow,
They make ready their arrow on the string,
That they may shoot secretly at the upright in heart.” Adrian exclaimed.
“That scripture describes my brother perfectly.” Sky resounded.
“Yes, exactly,” Adrian replied.
“But, here in Psalm 147:3 is the solution.” He shouted. He then read the scripture out loud to her.
“He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.”
After dinner, they prayed together that Jesus would heal Sky's heart and make a way for her. Adrian began to clap loudly.
“What are you doing?” Sky asked, shocked.
“I've got it.” He exclaimed.
“Last week, you said that Mrs. Crenshaw, loves your work and that she has had her salon for about twenty years.” “Why don't you speak to her about a part-time job?” He suggested.
“Adrian, I will do that.” She shouted joyfully.
“Call me tomorrow night and tell me how it went.” He said.
“I will.” She promised.
Sky couldn't wait to call Adrian the next evening. As soon as he picked up, Sky blurted out, “Mrs. Crenshaw gave me a job and promised to help me start my salon when I am ready.”
“See, Sky.” “Jesus heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds,” Adrian said fervently.
“Yes, He does.” Sky bellowed

Your use of quotation marks is incorrect. You open with one mark and only close when the person is done speaking, not open and close after each sentence.
Don't use so many adjectives and adverbs to replace 'said'. Said is perfectly acceptable to use. It allows the reader to 'skip' over and go to the next sentence easily.
