Julie was especially frightened by the idea of the Antichrist and his government taking over the entire earth. Suppose other Christians were correct that the church would not be taken out of this world before the Great Tribulation began? What if all of the Christians were still here when the Antichrist took over the governments of most if not all of the nations of the world?
If all of this took place, how would anyone be able to hide from the forces of darkness long enough to be alive when the Lord Jesus returned to this earth? As far as Julie was concerned, she did not think it would be possible to survive the Tribulation if she could not work or get any money to live and to eat. How would she and others like her still be around if there was no way to work or to have a place to live without taking the cursed and terrible Mark of the Beast?
One Sunday a friend of hers invited Julie to her church. Julie decided to go since she felt she needed to check out her friend’s church, especially since her friend had visited Julie’s church on more than one occasion.
The pastor was leading a study in Sunday school on the End Times, based on the Book of Revelation. According to Revelation, the Marriage Supper of the Lamb will take place in heaven while the Tribulation is happening on the earth, (Rev. 19, KJV). Julie and some of the others in class talked to the pastor during the break before the Sunday worship service. Julie was fascinated with the idea that there was a way to show from the Bible that Christians would not have to go through the Tribulation.
Those who are saved and on their way to Heaven would not need to go through the Tribulation since the Lord would take them out of this world before the Antichrist would show himself. There was no longer anything to fear since the Lord would take all of His saved ones to Heaven in the Rapture (I Thess. 4:16-18, KJV).
Julie was happy that day to know she would be part of the Lord Jesus’ plan to take the Holy Spirit out of this sinful world before the Antichrist takes control and wreaks havoc on those who are left on earth.
She was so relieved by this news that there were no nightmares that night. God was good.
