Just touch me, dear,
So that experience I do
Of that nice tickle
That drowns me into a trance
And general happiness
That defies all measure
And surpasses all understanding.
Was the a feeling so nice
Like your hand’s baby touch
Laden with supreme serenity
That speaks louder than words
Of Shakespeare or Wordsworth?
Will no one translate, for me,
In human language,
The full meaning of that sweet current
Triggered off by your mere touch?
Hearken to that acme flow
Of that gentle feeling
Greater than taste of Coca Cola
That slithers on and on,
Through my entire biological fabric
And wherever it passes,
It leaves territories of joy
And metric tons of ecstasy!
And then – sublime silence:
Sweet, sweet somnolence.
Come…come…come good sleep.
Welcome to thy vanquished territory,
Thy colonies – strata of memory,
Do majestically enter,
Salve those repositories of reason;
Tenderly caress me with thy wondrous charm
And induce me into sweet slumber – if not, death.
Welcome splendid balm of mind
Come, bait phenomenon of brain;
Phase that salves my sub-conscience
And operator of profuse dreams.
Come consoler of death’s cousin,
And with thy soporific charm,
Summon oblivion – command peace
And drown me into that pacific pool- repose.
