Topic: Beautiful (11/07/05)
The fall leafs fell across the old country road. The November air blew chills through my body as I walked, remembering my youth.

I was born beautiful. A gift to the world, yet belonging to God.

As time passed, the world had give me trouble. Recalling a time when I were burned at a age of only fourteen. I remembered the room I was in. I remembered the flash of fire. It had come so fast over my body.

I closed my eye’s to forget, only to look down at my body that would remind me of everyday of my life that I would be just that, a burned soul on earth.

A tear ran down my cheek. I closed my eye’s.

“ I cannot bear this.” wishing things would be normal.

I stopped to sit on the rock before me. I felt it’s rough edges over my finger’s. It had no beauty in itself, just an old white stone. I wondered why God had made it? It seemed to have no purpose. It sat day by day, year by year all alone.

I felt like the old rock. Rejected by so many. Spending days alone. Felling left out in life.

I felt anger growing in me. My finger’s clawed into the stone. I felt my body tense up until my nail’s started to hurt. I knew It was foolish to fight something that couldn’t be undone.

I let my finger’s slip loose from the rock until I was only gently rubbing it softly. I felt a smooth cut on the rock. Slowly, I turned to where I had felt it. I looked down and saw someone had carved a cross in the stone.

I softly ran my fingertip’s over the cross. It seemed to be stamped on the stone perfectly as If It were made just for me.

“ Yes, It had been.” I remembered again the true Stone. The Cross. The blood. My Christ.

I smiled knowing what he had done for me. I knew His pain and shame on the Cross was greater then my own pain. He had reminded me once again I was still loved. I knew I was never alone. I knew I belonged to him.

I knew I was still beautiful to him. For what other price could He give me to show He loved me?

How comforting to know that despite lacking physically, we can still be beautiful to God. :)
I noticed a couple spots of misspelled words, and be careful with words that don't need apostrophes (such as "fingers"). Just needs a bit of polish.

A touching piece. Have your work proofed. I think you have a message to tell, with work it will come out.

The very first sentence..."leaves" instead of leaf; therefore, I found myself noticing grammar and misspelled words instead of the subject; so work on proofreading...thanks for sharing.
