Your writing style has a very readable flow to it.
I also quite enjoyed the content of your story.

Great story! Loved your attempts and misadventures with mobility. Gotta read this to my husband. Only a guy could really appreciate the details. You are a very gifted writer. Keep the stories coming!
This would have made a great episode of "Rides" on TLC. You cracked me up telling of your antics. Your article flowed well from start to finish. Great images flashed through my head as I read on. You are a storyteller and should write more about life experiences. You're good at it.
This was a lot of fun. You write very well. I could see you and your friend in all your escapades as I read. I did not understand the "You are a stupid, boy," reference. I also felt there needed to be something to tie the whole thing together -- some message I could take away from your memories. However, I agree with the other comments you've received. You are a good storyteller. Keep sharing! :)

Great job! From my humble, female perspective, it was very Tim Allen-esque. ;) Only thing missing was the Uhh Ugh Ughh Ughhhhh? grunt. Very hard to read without smiling. Great job! - Nancy

Very testosterone filled ... which is fine. I was sad to see that you went your separate ways as adults, but I guess that's life as grown-ups, eh. Also sad was the less than ideal parental influence on your self-image - "You are a stupid boy". I can hear it ringing in my head. Well, as far as writing goes, take it from your critiquers - you're very talented - not at all stupid. As for the stuff that your mother called stupid, well, I guess boys will be boys, and she might even have a point :-)
