Expectations go higher, above what’s humanly possible.
All I want to do is scream, hide, pull my hair out;
Could everyone just leave me alone?
Even my family’s plea aggravates and irritates.
Please, I need a long, relaxing vacation
Everyone stop talking to me – right now!
Alone is place I’d like to visit forever.
Can’t you see I need some quiet time?
Every cruel word I speak breaks hearts, hurts feelings.
Going to look up? says a whisper in my soul.
Oh. Who’s that? I forgot to pray again? No wonder I’m stressed.
Daughter, when will you learn to lean on Me?
Someday, Lord, I promise, with Your grace and help.
Pardon my rude behavior today.
Everything pushed me beyond my feeble limits.
At last I remembered I have a Savior:
Christ the Prince of Peace, Who freely shares His peace.
Even I have bad days. Forgive me?
