I was often bullied by the boys in my class or the other students during recess. I was often called "retarded" or dumb. I liked to sit at the back of the playground until the bell rang. Other times I played baseball with a few of the other girls in the class.
When I entered high school, I was punched in the head by a guy in my class for no apparent reason. I had hit him back a couple of times. I still think about that today, and how mad I felt. This boy called me ugly. I was just getting over the acne stage.
When I was in grade 12, I started to drink, and feel suicidal because I didn't know what to do after high school. I had some learning difficulties, but at least I passed grade 12. I failed a few subjects such as math and biology, but a passed a few other courses successfully.
I started college a few years later, and I started to feel good about myself. I took a typing course followed by a computer course. I also took a few courses in creative writing. I eventually received a certificate in arts and science.
My wounds have healed a lot. Other times I feel broken, and stressed when I deal with family issues. I pray for the lord for help.

Keep on writing!
Please keep writing. Keep being Brave and don't give up. God never gives up on us.
One sentence I thought could be written differently is this one:
"As a child I was a shy child who kept to herself." You might like the sound of it better if it was written like this: "I was a shy child who kept to myself." (It's a small change. See which way you like it better.)
Thanks for sharing your encouraging story. And the Lord will help you. He is already helping you. He never leaves you, and feels everything you feel. One day He will look you in the eyes, wipe away your tears, wrap you in His arms, and say to you, "Well done."
