I also like the Greek word ‘Terata’ It is defined in English as ‘producing astonishment in the beholder’ or ‘wonder-causing events’.
Eerie is usually a term used to describe what is strange, weird and possibly frightening and that may create fear. Know that there are many things that can happen in the life of a Christian for which we have no explanation in the natural. Because we are children of God we trust that Our Supernatural, All Powerful God is in control of all aspects of our lives. We entrust to Him our spirit, soul, and body. We trust that our daily lives are guided by the Holy Spirit and that includes the miracles that we may encounter. Our Lord repeated says in His Word that we are to fear not.
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27
Many incidents in life are mysterious. We are to expect Father, Son and Holy Spirit to act outside of what we consider natural. Here is an example.
A friend of mine lost his glasses and its case. He looked high and low in his home but could not find it. About three months later, he was driving along a street near our church which is two blocks from his house when he saw a brown packet in the street. He stopped his car and picked it up. He told me that he thought it was a wallet that someone had lost.
The packet was his lost glasses in its brown case and it was unbroken. The question remains; where had it been for three months? I have no answers.
Another incident involved a lost nametag. He had searched his bedroom and could not find it. He went to bed frustrated because he needed it for work the next day. He woke up the next morning with the nametag in his hand.
Many hundreds of miracles happened to people in the Bible.
As a child I was totally amazed by the story of Balaam’s donkey speaking to him. The Red Sea parting astonishes me still.
When Mary went to the tomb where Jesus’ body had been laid, she was amazed by the empty grave clothes and by the angels who appeared and spoke to her.
For the disciples, the appearance of Jesus in their midst after they saw him die was a frightening experience but he normalised it by talking to them and eating with them.

36 As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, “Peace to you!” 37 But they were startled and frightened and thought they saw a spirit. 38 And he said to them,“Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.” 40 And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. 41 And while they still disbelieved for joy and were marveling, he said to them,“Have you anything here to eat?” 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 and he took it and ate before them.
