Topic: SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER (don’t write about the song) (04/30/15)
Jesus withdrew to lonely places and prayed.[Luke 5:6]


He went alone.
Away from his friends and the crowds of people that followed him he found solace.



I imagine early pre-dawn hours seeing Jesus climbing hills to find quiet places where he might shut himself in alone with Father.
He must be with Father so he could talk to him and hear what He had to say and what He wanted Him to do.



There was no displeasure in their relationship for Father was well pleased with him. To my mind that would have been a sweet hour or more when they had such wonderful fellowship.



Nature must have been happy and responded joyfully to this visit by their creator.I imagine that in those times the trees may have clapped their hands, the birds sang sweeter and the grass that he walked or sat on knew themselves to be blessed. The moon may have shone longer so that the heat of the early morning sun would not strike the sacred head.



This time of prayer to Father was a time of refreshing, of peace and of communion that was so intimate.

I like to think that he prayed for his disciples, for his enemies, for the women who followed him and for Judas because he knew what was to come.


Maybe on one of those final times alone, Father would have talked to him and prepared him for what he was about to endure on the cross. Father would have revealed to him what his twelve disciples would do in their time of testing.


After those hours of prayer, He would leave Father's presence refreshed, and I believe that the Holy Spirit was always with.


Jesus knew that soon his time on earth would end and he would return victoriously to his heavenly home. Father and Son would be together again forever.

I love that we can just call Him Father. He surely gives us sweet hours of prayer. This is a really beautiful piece of writing. The manner of which you write lets the reader know that you have been with "Father."

I want to encourage you as I do all to "Throw A Brick." It is in the forums and that is the title in that section. It will help you get more feedback and read other entries.
