He saw!
He grabbed it all,
much to his liking,
confessed Sir Hoarding
Business preaches
Greed is good! Good is greed!
Cash is King!
Money is Darling!
Clients are everything!
A lone voice cries out, loud and bold
from streets of silver and gold
Beware of avarice! Beware of greed!
The Way, the Truth and the Life
He is what we humans need
A rich man without God departed
from Abraham, lamenting
The filthy poor chap, Lazarus
arrived in heaven, soon united
to the beloved patriarch, connecting
The covetous will thirst for more
They pile and load to fill their store
, security or whatsoever,
until God calls: Life's over
When we desire more,
we will end up less finally
More time for money
Less time for Family and Honey
A misplaced priority
Some poor are happy
with less to worry
Although rich, some still envy
for love and company
They feel sad and lonely
It's better to be rich
and right in God's sight
than human eyes
Let's value the eternal;
reject the temporal
We came to this cold world
as helpless naked babies
When we end life destiny
can we all leave with worldly wealth
we've gained on earth by stealth?
A common scene of early believers
-fellowship, worship and prayers,
They witnessed signs and wonders;
They sold their stuffs or houses;
to feed the poor and hungry masses
helped feed the poor and ministry
If we have means
and notice someone in distress
or dire need
but give no heed
No love in us indeed
This transient world’s broken
beyond dollars; it will pass away
Only His Love and Word will stay
They won't return empty-handed
Fallen! Babylon the great is fallen!
