From the top of the hill Moses could see the battle below. As long as he held both his hands up in prayer Israel prevailed. But his hands and arms grew heavy. Moses tried with all his might but he could no longer hold up his hands. His arms fell to his side. When they did the tide turned against Israel. Their enemies grew stronger and prevailed. Victory depended on Moses’ prayers. Aaron and Hur, who were with Moses, saw the defeat Joshua and his army suffered whenever Moses could not keep his arms up in prayer. They had to do something. Quickly they found a stone large enough for Moses to sit on. With Moses sitting on the huge stone Aaron and Hur were able to hold up both Moses’ arms. They had to or Israel would have lost the battle.
Today Israel is facing enemies that want only to destroy that nation and people completely. The Jews are fighting for their very existence. Those of us who love God and who love Israel must not forsake her. We have to faithfully stand next to Israel and uphold her in prayer. Without God’s help Israel cannot survive. We must become the modern day Aarons and Hurs.
There is another application to this record of events in the Bible. Denominations are not recorded in scripture. The body of Christ is. We are members of each other whatever the name on our church. If we are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, if we are saved by grace through faith, then we are all members of the same body. Some of us, like Joshua, are on the front lines in the heat of the battle. Others of us hold the body up in prayer. We cannot refuse to pray for members of the body of Christ just because they do not belong to our same denomination. We aren’t spiritual cousins or siblings. We are closer than that. We belong to the same body.
Pray for Israel. Pray for your pastor. Pray for the body of Christ.

Thanks for admonishing us to stand with Israel and to pray for each of our brothers and sisters in Christ no matter the denomination. Because true, if we are born again, we are all part of the same body.
Amen~
Nicely done! Amen.
God bless~
Paul's heart and desire was that Israel might be saved.
He meant their soul, not their physical well being. He wanted them grafted back.
I agree with you, all brother's in Israel, the state, need our prayers. All Israel, the original olive tree branches, need our prayers for them to come to know our Lord Jesus.
My suggestion would be to read the list of judging guidelines under challenge rules. It helps me focus on what the judges will be looking for.
Keep writing.
Your writing is very good. As someone already suggested review the guidelines and make yourself familiar with what the judges are looking for.
Read Editor's Choice winners each time. That helps me improve my writing, too.
Blessings and good to get to know you.
