Still her eyes fixed on the screen behind which has a black shape of a bitten apple, Little Daniella whimpers and whines alternately in response to her unrelieved fatigue. Mommy finally comes with a fresh soapy scent, but... no! I want to keep seeing them! cries the baby, because Mommy did her magic again and made the screen turn black with no more photos. Whimpering turns to wailing.
Mommy hushes and soothes Daniella, latching her mouth to that soft and squishy part that gives her warm drink. Mommy's arm around Daniella's shoulder and the soft singing voice assures her that she is safe and ready to fall asleep.
"Mommy is sorry," Mommy says, more for herself than for Daniella, who is heading toward the dreamworld. "Mommy will play with you more," she continues, gently caressing and kissing the baby's fuzzy head. "Instead of staring at this kind of devices, let's try and do more tangible things, like reading, singing, dancing...you know, the things that would help us to love each other more...because that's the reason why we live. God gave us life so that we can love--first receive His love, and then love Him and love one another. Okay, sweetie? Jesus came so that our broken love can be complete in Him." As if to confirm Mommy's solution, Daniella lets out a tiny breath of sigh, drawing a startled smile on Mommy's face, far more genuine than the countless ones she's seen in the photos.

God bless~
Having had many babies in my life I can relate (Well I am a Dad, so I did not actually have them myself, Ha) Your story had a very different approach to the subject and that was refreshing. It was uplifting. God bless you
