Topic: Beautiful (11/07/05)
I just Love to sing and been told I couldn’t. My singing doesn’t scare people; just bring them to laughter. I was once blended in with the choir as a kind soul told me to do after telling him with tears in my eyes; I wanted to Sing Beautiful sweet songs to the Lord too, but was told I can’t sing.

He then said to me, “Get up there! And blend in with the rest of them, for God hears your heart and it will be a most Beautiful sound to His ears.”

Now 'Amazing Grace,' I love to sing. I can’t make my voice hold it like that, a really hard one to sing for me. In church when I am sitting with family members, and sing, they are brought to tears from laughter. Even the Pastor once lovingly laughed at me!

The church was packed with two visiting churches; I was in the Choir ready to Worship the Lord in Beautiful Song! I goof up and song with the lead person and after that I stepped down putting the members at ease, for they hated to ask me to step down. They said, "I was a beautiful person inside, but honestly admitted, I song a bit out of tune and at the wrong time.”

One night after work, I was walking out with this girl who started singing a beautiful song like an angel. I ask, “are you in the choir?” She said, “no, but God knows I should be” I told her she had a beautiful God giving Gift in song. She then asked, “Are you in the choir?” I told her my story, and she said, “everyone can sing; you must be trying to sing someone else’s song, just sing your own beautiful song from your heart to the Lord”

I carry her Wonderful Words to day, and even 'Amazing Grace' I still sing to the Lord at my church. I bought my own Hymnal, and at home I Praise and Worship the Lord in the beauty of Song,
Beholding His Beautiful Glory.

And His Praise in the congregation of saints.

Yes, sing from your heart to the Lord, maybe not in the choir, but always to Him. He said, "Make a joyful NOISE!" :o) A bit of proofreading would help here to catch a few words that are not quite right/misspelled. Keep writing!

A very touching Inspirational piece.
I was so moved by Your Love for Jesus and the desire in Your heart to be so close to Him and to Encourage others in their walk with Him.

A real sweet story with a twinge of humor. I liked it. You don't give up singing just because you can't sing Opera, or even "good 'ole Opry;" AND - you don't give up writing just because you make a few errors! There are Some words left out like I "HAVE" been told; and "song" instead of "sang"...but all in all a very good attempt...and a Good One! We're not sculpted in a day - over time we become more and more like the Sculpture we are meant to be.

Hi Helen: I'm a singer, surely do agree - we all have a song to sing before the Lord. I am so glad for the wonderful advice of your friend. Keep singing.
