Topic: Summer (the season) (07/09/09)
When the hot days of summer are here it’s time to groom the garden, swim at the beach or the pool. Another thing that is important to me is that my children stay active. My child is involved with day camps, and vacation Bible School. My older son is into baseball, and into golf.

Summer time is also a time to read, relax, and spend some time with the family. I also like to ride my bike, sit by the lake, and read a book. There are times when the heat gets me very tired, so I have sit by the air conditioner, and cool off.

During the summer, I pick some black or raspberries from the bushes beside my parents garden. Last year my family and I rented a car, went strawberry picking, fishing, and swimming. One summer I was in the canoe club, but I haven’t been involved with it for 2 years because of the schedule.

Just a few weeks ago, I was in Quebec with my family at the water park. I got a sun burn, but I enjoyed myself, and so did my kids.

A good short peice and well spaced. Now you need to pad it out a bit and put a little more than just a simple account. For example desribe how the sunburn felt or what the blackberries tasted like. This would help add more flavour to your writing.
