It was too soon in life, To have to tell you “Good Bye.”
It was too soon, To Spread your Ashes,
It was too soon, For us to cry.
It was too soon, To take your own life,
Not willing to, Harbour one last try!
When I look at your children, Seeing your face in them is so sweet,
Yet in their eyes, It such bitterness that you quit in defeat.
God knows your trials were more, Than any woman should bare,
When I try and feel you with me, In my dreams you are not there.
I am bitter that you chose Suicide, Instead of the Gift of Eternal Life,
I am bitter that you left a man, After 20 years as his wife.
I am bitter that we will never, Walk the streets paved in Gold,
You will not dine at the Kings table, As my napkin I unfold.
I lift my hands to Heaven, So not to drown in defeat,
When He returns as He as promised, Eternal Life will be so Sweet!
