When I thought about, pondered and mediated on the subject of before and after
an idea and simple one at that came to mind. That idea was the beauty of a sunrise.
But in this case, one particular sunrise stands out amongst all others. This
magnificent sunrise took place while I was deep the woods. It was before dawn
and I was carefully making my way down a path. I could hear the birds singing.
I overwhelmed by their beautiful melodies. Then the first light of dawn barely
appeared over the horizon; the symphony of sounds came to an end.
Then the light broke into the woods. The beauty of light was a different than the
beauty of sounds. Yet it was just as unique as the beauty of sounds. The
transition from sound to light happened immediately. Because the transition from
sound to light took place so quickly before the sunrise and after the sunrise
was like a transition from the beauty of sound to the beauty of light.
