The sky above is clear, void of all clouds, a blue.
An azure blue. The prominent yellow of the sun radiating its golden brilliance and warmth.Birds circling in flight.
The vegetation is not much to look at, with a few blades of brown grass, here and there. A drooping tree with its roots protruding from the ground. The earth cracked, dry, hard with a reckless of desolate abandonment. It is dying a slow, agonizing death for all to see.
As i walk upon this crusted earth, my joints creak, my steps shaky at best. I am with pale pallor, sunken eyes, and shallow skin. No confidence in my steps, or hope in my breath. For I am parched.
To say I am thirsty is greatly understated. For my quench of thirst could not be satisfiyed with bottled water no matter how much i drink. I am slowly, agonizingly, turning into a woman of stone.
I have a gift, a choice. Do i continue to walk upon this hard earth ,in the path of it's dust? Will I allow my heart to be in tune with this crust of the earth? Or will I chose the living water my living God offers me?
I am Blessed to receive the gift of His Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God resides in me. My very being is drenched on the inside.
He is filling me constantly, to a place i can no longer contain. It has no option but to overflow. My eyes reflect His image, my words speak His hope, my arms reach out to hug, and my heart fills with His everlasting love.
Only my God can quench my thirst, with renewed vigor, bright eyes, softened heart, i walk in HIs steps.
I am called to water each soul He has placed upon my path. So I walk upon the hard crusted earth, one step at a time leaving puddles in my wake.
