Before the sun could rise
My thoughts consumed with worries
Tears falling from my eyes
After getting dressed, I looked around
Writing lists of thoughts from my head
There is too much to do,
where do I start
Maybe I should go back to bed!
I took a walk around the house
To bring clarity to my head
Everywhere I turned, frustration followed
I decided to walk outside instead
Who could I call to walk with me?
I need a listening ear
I picked up the phone
and called a friend
She said, “It’s too early dear.”
I cried to Jesus and fell to my knees
Can you listen for a moment or two?
He answered “Dear, I am always here.”
“I have eternity for you!”
Jesus walked with me,
attentive to every word
As I told him all my worries
He took them away one by one
As he promised in the New Testament story
By the end of our walk,
I thanked the Lord
For making my burden light
He said,“Precious One I am always here,
Your rest is my delight.”
Whenever life gets filled with worry
And you feel your options are few
Have a little walk with Jesus
He will lighten the load for you
A WALK WITH JESUS A DAY, WILL KEEP THE WORRY AWAY!
