Lord, You are so patient and awesome. Yesterday was a gorgeously sunny day, a perfect day on the coast and yet I couldn’t find even a few minutes to stop my busyness and talk with You. Oh, how wretched I am. How do You manage to put up with me, Lord, when I continue to do this time and time again?

To spend time with You today, concentrating totally on You if only for ten minutes, that is what I need to do. Lord, how can I make that happen now that the day is over? Please forgive me, Lord, for not dedicating a little ten minutes to You?

“Listen carefully, my daughter. I love you just the way you are because you are MY child. My love for you is not based on your performance or ANYTHING you do. Remember, I sent My Son to die for you when you were in your worse state and thought I did not exist. I love you SO deeply and know you so well that your actions do not change how I feel toward you. We have a whole eternity together and I am very patient. But don’t let My love for you fall onto an empty chair. Sit beside Me and let me love you so totally while you bask in My Peace, My Presence, My Joy. Stop running around in your own strength trying to meet all your own needs. My Ways are perfect and true, everlasting and uniquely designed for you. The glass slipper is waiting in My Hand for your foot. Dreams do come true with Me. Come dance with Me tonight, right now. Accept My love for you close up, hand-in-hand. I long for your time with Me, here, at this very moment.”

Oh, Lord, forgive me for putting you last, for not starting my day with You. Forgive me, Lord. Forgive me now. Lord, renew me, equip me, refresh me, transform me, so that I might be consumed in You and become ALL that you created me for. Let not one of Your promises forsake me.

Lord, I give you all the honor and blessing and glory my simple lips can offer. You are so good to me and I worship and praise Your Name, the Name that is above all other names. Lord, You are Lord of lords and King of kings. You are the Creator, the Chief Cornerstone, my Master. I submit all that I am into Your hands, now, this day. Lord, take all that I have and all that I will ever be and make them into nothing but Your perfection, Your instrument, a willing vessel for You. Lord, cleanse me fully and renew in me a hunger to serve You every day, every moment, especially as I rise to start each new day.

Lord, help me to aggressively stand against the world and its intrusions upon our time together. Help me, my God, to make my time with You like bread to my body, a necessity of life. Lord, without You, I can do nothing.

This day I commit into Your Hands, Almighty God, the Lover of my soul.

A lovely prayer - and one I think we ALL can relate to!!! Your first paragraph was especially beautiful. God's response is a touch harder to follow, though - I might work on making the language flow a bit more. Beautiful read, though!
