From things we touch to those we feel
To each of us, it’s like our different faces
What one likes, to another it might not appeal
Personal peace is a vanilla-scented bubble bath
With candles providing a soft glowing light
No one around but the orange-colored cat
His purrs almost silent, his tail high like a kite
Personal peace is home on a quiet eve
My husband and me, with Bibles open wide
Our hearts are ready and prepared to receive
The words of God in our hearts will reside
Personal peace is not for sale, nor hire, nor lease
It is a feeling that lives within our soul
It is for every parent, sibling, nephew, and niece
It is a quest for a Christian, more than that, it’s a goal
Personal peace cannot be achieved by one’s self
Looking for years, it always remains elusive
Behold! It is a gift from the One who gave all of Himself
With outstretched hands, He said “this to you I give”
Personal peace will abound throughout all time
We will lie at His feet and give glory and praise
Never again will we walk in the muck and the grime
With Jesus, His wonders will always amaze
Personal peace is waiting for you, as for me
Calling upon the name of Jesus is the key
And upon you will come the One of the Trinity
Who was, Who Is, and always will Be
