Live in the Flood

“Father, this day that you have laid before me has so much potential. It is wide open to enjoy and to use for good. But there are so many ways I could spend my time, so many things to choose from that need doing, and too many important things to do all in one day. I feel overwhelmed. How should I spend my time today? What should my priorities be?”

“My Child, listen to what I am going to tell you. The world says get busy, rush, push yourself, do as much as you can – maybe you’ll get it all done if you try hard enough. But I say, spend your day with Me. We’ll do this thing together, we’ll do that thing together, we’ll rest together, and we’ll enjoy one another while we do it. No rush, no hurry, no exhaustion. Just productive Kingdom Living. Deeds will be accomplished, relationships will be strengthened, order will come out of chaos, and joy will abound. Whenever you feel that first niggle of pressure to perform, STOP. Turn to Me. I am your very great reward, not all those things you hope to achieve. When you live your personal life moment by moment with Me, peace will flood your soul. And that flood will flow like a river from the center of your being, out through your skin, to all those in your sphere of influence. Peace-full, productive Kingdom Living is the only way to truly LIVE. And it is the best way to impact the world in My Name.”
