I won’t forget the sound of the gray whales breathing
Blowholes misting water gently upward
Sometimes revealing rainbows
As I ride on a sea of molten silver under the sun.
The teasing of a tail here
Or a body surfacing over there
Out of my reach as I splash the salty water, beckoning you
Looking for your curious and gentle eye.
Where the air and water meet
I can see a sliver of your world
And you a sliver of mine
Our paths have crossed here in a crystal sea
Somewhere in God's purpose
And I pray for a sliver of light to cut through my confusion
I think you've seen the heavens in this sea
Because you seem to know what love is, better than I.
All creatures in the heavens
All creatures in the ocean depths
Sing to their creator
Their very existence speaks of His love
Love endures for your journey
And love endures for mine.

You definitely renewed mine; I can still smell the salt air as I type! One suggestion: the word 'sliver' occurs 3 times; you might want to replace with a synonym to keep the creative flow fresh throughout. Good job, and I predict you will not remain long in the Beginner category! God Bless.
