Topic: Help (02/20/06)
This past year, so many people have helped me get back on my feet and I even feel the hand of god helping me out.

Thank you Karen for helping me out with the car payment.

Thank you David for letting me get on the internet all afternoon so I could send out resumes.

Thank you Mom for letting me stay with you so I could have a roof over my head.

Thank you AA meetings for keeping me sober and giving me a place to express myself so I wouldn't go crazy.

Thank you people on the forum boards for praying for me and encouraging me and connecting with me.

Thank you to all the people who weren't as self-centered or self-absorbed as I and were willing to help someone.

I hope I don't disappoint you.

I hope I get a job so I can support myself and not have to depend on anybody.

I hope to tithe and give money to others who need a hand up.

I hope I contribute more than I take.

I hope to creatively express myself so someone else can be helped by my gifts.

Imagine that Regina. Actually being a blessing to someone else for a change.

That is my prayer.

To help someone else.

The word God should be capitalized...it was not. And this is a nice "thank you" note to all - and is nice for FW, but not for a published piece. (if publishing your work is your goal). Keep up the good work..

This is a letter of spiritual awakening. You have been blessed so fully that you have the desire to "thank" all those who have helped you. Bless you for overcoming your struggles enough to see outside of yourself, wishing to be more Christlike in your life. It may not be a publishable piece, but the deep meaning it has in your life is worth more than gold. I suggest that next you write about your struggles and how you found your way back. Bless you in your efforts.
