TITLE: I Will Begin | Previous Challenge Entry

I will begin
by laughing aloud in empty rooms,
by chasing angels guided
by the majestic moon.
I will waltz in the rain
with the wind as my friend,
and finally open my heart for a lover
to mend.
I will gratefully talk to God
when he gently whispers my name,
and dare to dream the love of my life
feels the same.
I will dance among the autumn leaves,
and listen intently
to the wise chatting of the heavens
that my soul willingly receives.
I will appreciate the smile that illuminates every
child’s face,
and encourage anyone who’s ever loved
to again partake of its bittersweet taste.
All of these things my mind has dreamt,
and found a home in my heart.
And though I’m not sure if they can be accomplished
or bring true joy to my life,
it’s a very fine place to start.
