Revelation 3:20 “Look! Here I stand at the door and knock. If you hear me calling and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal as friends. 21 I will invite everyone who is victorious to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne. 22 Anyone who is willing to hear should listen to the Spirit and understand what the Spirit is saying to the churches.”
Every house has an entry point, we call it a door, Jesus here is speaking in parables to all of man kind, stating that he is wanting to speak with us concerning our relationship with him as the door to heaven.
To be better aquatinted he is stating that because you have answered him, (the door to heaven) together we shall have a meal together as friends, and from that he will invite us to sit victoriously with him on his fathers throne.
This parable was part of a letter sent to the churches of Laodicea, and in many was is reflective of today’s people and churches.
This church was considered Luke warm, as it was adopting mans doctrine and the people were not living the life according to Gods doctrine or rules, they were also imposing statues or conditions for entry to the church and self imposed rules of which one had to do or comply to so as to gain entry to both the church and the kingdom of God.
This was in fact Jesus telling them that if they continued in the manner that they were he would spit them out of the kingdom.
We should take head of this parable and be careful how we lead our lives behind the door of our homes as God sees all that we do and say and live.
The people of this church mainly the leaders ( Men) were not careful to live their lives how they were expected to and were poisoning the People with their self imposed rules and statues. Because a door is a barrier to the other side we think that we can hide from the truth and God, and still enter the Kingdom.
We are told to be victorious to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne, so how can we be victorious with the door to heaven if we impose our own deceitful rules.
So my friends the door to our homes means more than just something to open and shut it means spiritually the difference between entering heaven and being victorious to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne, and being accused and cast into hell on the day of judgement.
Our homes are just as important as our churches and the door is the barrier to our home, and when it is opened and one (others) enters what will one see?

Also, watch POV--in the last long paragraph, it sounds as if believers are going to sit with you in heaven, not with Jesus.
Thank you for this word of hope!
