Now, we can look at this as the first day and move onto the next verse and see what else God created. Or, we can stop and look deeper. God spoke and light obeyed. He did not speak darkness, he spoke light. The darkness was separtated from the light. They were not allowed to coexist. Our spiritual lives can be seen in the same way, but too often we coexist. God is our light, Satan is the darkness. Okay, you read and say, ‘No way do I coexist with Satan!’, but where does your household stand in this economy? Where are your worries with H1N1? Do you fret and worry, changing your budgets just in case you lose your job, or do you continue in your lifestyle that God has blessed you with. Yes, God gave us common sense, but take claim over the job you have. Do not worry is the command our Lord gives us. He conquers our enemy! How about your weekend fun? Has it been cut short because you are afraid of going places where you may catch the flu?!?! Satan wants us to worry over all these things. The news is a place crawling with Satan’s germs. It is there to put fear into people. Step back into the light! Do not give into the darkness. Stand on what we know is fact. God is our foundation and our way. Claim victory over your home and family. Do not entertain the enemy by fearing to enjoy and celebrate your healthy and wealthy family. Let the darkness flee from your life. Hold onto the peace that God has for you. Darkness is dark, black, and dreary. I prefer to stand in the light, where it is white, bright, and hopeful.
