After settling into the desired place and your gear is put away or set up. It is time to proceed with what you are at camp for. Initiate things with deep breathing. Fill your lungs with unfamiliar chemical composition. Continue this practice for the entire excursion. Survey your surroundings extensively. If a camp instructor of some sort is around be cooperative of the instructions given to you. In the instance that you have written directions or verbal, be sure that you use them in the manner it was advised. Posted notices are generally for your safety such as: No Fishing, No Swimming, No Fires, Do Not Feed the Animals, or No Camping. Adhere to these warnings. As you acclimate you will find that the trailblazers that preceded you were similar to you, and they want you to avoid the mistakes they made. If you are willing accept direction it makes you a trailblazer for those that follow after you.
Camping can be a world totally different than the world you are most familiar with. You leave your habitat to venture to a place where you haven’t established dominion. To create a safe sleeping place, you will need to a clearing so that an area is marked to any invaders that they are committing an intrusion. Fires have to be managed and placed in good logical places. Fire is a tool that can be used for defensive purposes, cooking, sterilizing, and more; but you must keep control when it comes to fire. It can become unruly and extremely dangerous. While you are camping take time to be observant and considerate of insects, animals foliage, fruit, and other things that are there and accessible to you. If you rise early and remain busy through out the day you will be ready for a good nights sleep, and you will have a million thoughts of the day occurrences to ponder over.
A camping trip can set off a spiritual awakening. True camping is a hiatus. The bible declares our Lord rested on the seventh day. I don’t believe he went to sleep. Possibly he went to camp for rest. He says that I was created in his image and on the seventh day I want to go camping. There's a time to break the everyday routine in your life. If you do something that’s unfamiliar it requires responses that aren’t the usual ones. We have actions in us that lie dormant because our lifestyles don’t call for their use. Do you know you r God is the only creator. Get better acquainted with his workmanship. So extend your contact with the earth that he put you in dominion of.
