Imagine for a moment that you are driving in a car. It is a beautiful day. The temperature is perfect and you don’t have any place that you have to be. Concentrate for just a moment on the car you are in. What color is that car?
If you have a color for your car then you have accomplished something very powerful. You have accomplished concentration. You were able, through your mind, to create and describe something that only you could think about. The thoughts of you in your car were your own. They belonged to no one else. You chose the color of the car. It was all yours.
This power of concentration is what helps people accomplish so many things. We are able to focus our energies and our thoughts into a productive channel of activity that transforms the before unseen into the seen. When we team up with others who also concentrate then we accomplish things that even amaze ourselves.
The people in the city of Babel were able to concentrate together upon a monumental task. God saw that the ability to work together without humility before him could lead man away from God. So he confused their languages. Confusion is the opposite of concentration. The people were no longer able to concentrate on the same project because they could no longer communicate their thoughts and ideas clearly.
Your thoughts and ideas are very powerful. It is healthy for you to develop them. Take time to concentrate on them. Even write them down. Read them over to yourself and clarify what you mean to yourself. This will help you live a full life with greater understanding.
Some of your thoughts or ideas you should show to another person. I know this can take courage but it can also bring rewards. The other person can help you clarify further what your meaning is. Some of your thoughts and ideas should be shared with more people. Perhaps you have something in your mind that should be shared with many people. When you share and allow others to ask questions and clarify in their own minds what you are meaning then the miracle of group concentration begins to take shape. Cooperation can be born in this environment. Who knows but that the thoughts and ideas you started with and then concentrated upon could lead many people to concentrate on a common goal that might just become a blessing to many more people.
