It was a perfect day. Perfect for the six pack. Who are the six pack? They are six frolicking frisky ferrets. All in a basket and excited to come out and play in the sun. The basket was placed on the porch and opened.

The first ferrets out were Otter and Doby, both brown with dark masks. Doby scampered to roll in the dryer hose that was tied up in knots sitting on the porch. Otter ran down the stairs to play with the dog Bentley, who pulled his blanket around the yard.

The next three ferrets that crawled out were Diego, Buddy and Keogh. Diego was white and exploring and digging was his kind of fun. Always on a mission to find what has intruded on his property. Keogh and Buddy were light tan color. Keogh was good friends with the white bunny so she was off to say hello. Buddy loved to roll around in wet grass. He would soon join Keogh in tag wars later.
Only one ferret was in the basket.

Padmay, she was brown and shy. She also was the newest member of the family. Padmay felt alone. Everybody had some thing or some where to go. She carefully crawled out the basket and looked around.

The dryer hose was rolling around and crinkling noisily. Padmay scurried over and watched. She was to shy to ask if she could get in. Doby couldn’t see her through the hose. So she scuffled down the stairs.

She watched Buddy and Keogh play in the wet grass near the bunny. She didn’t want to intrude on the fun they were having. Keogh and Buddy were so busy playing with each other they didn’t notice her all by her self.

Padmay turned and saw Otter try to hitch a ride on Bentley’s blanket. Every time he got on, Bentley changed directions and Otter was rolled off. Even though it looked like a lot of fun, Padmay thought it could be dangerous. Otter was having a riot playing with the dog and didn’t see her either.

Padmay though she would explore the yard. She met up with Diego who was rude to her and bit her making her cry. So she ran back to the porch and curled up in a blanket, hoping nobody could see her cry.

Otter, Doby, Buddy, Keogh all got tired of playing after a while and came to the blanket. Padmay was asleep by then. One by one they curled up with her to keep her warm and fell asleep.

Padmay woke up and found herself with her new friend curled around her. She thought for a while and realized she had not been alone. Padmay had made a mistake. By not speaking up, she didn’t have fun like everyone else. Because all the other ferrets came to cuddle her she could not be made at them.

Diego was the only one who didn’t join. Because he was mean and rude he was alone. Diego realized that day he didn’t like what he was doing, it did not make him happy. He wanted to be snuggled with the other ferrets too. Diego was sorry. He stopped hurting Padmay and she accepted his apology. Diego cuddled into the blanket. All were happy

Otter, Keogh, Buddy, Diego and Padmay are a family of frisky frolicking ferrets. The six pack.
