Beneath the vast expanse,
An ebony canvas
Awash with
Celestial
Light.
Another dimension,
Invisible to
Creatures of the day.
Listening,
To the dark and restless sea
Pounding the rocks,
Like the tumult within
A breast -
Which throbs and
Burns,
Aching
For a different reality.
Perusing
The psychogenic archives,
Of times past.
Encountering
With strange familiarity,
A reluctant sojourner
In the surreal
State of Realism.
Confounded,
Dejected,
Lost.
Pondering
Life,
Its purpose
And future intent
Undetermined and
Obscured.
Hidden
To all but the
Omnipotent One.
Almighty
Providential,
An unknown Spirit
Yet to be encountered.
Drifting
Soaring
Transported in thought
To another realm
Of illustrious beauty and light,
A cosmic voyager
Unassailable
Protected
Free.
Longing,
To rest forever in this dream
Warm, secure
And free from fear.
Enveloped
In a love
Pure and virtuous
Tender yet strong,
Unconditional
And without end.
Hope
Champion of desire!
Guardian of the mind,
A child’s companion
Beneath the night sky.
