when the disciples
tried to keep them off
instead He took them in his arms
and blessed them
He reminds His disciples
to be kind to the little ones
Don’t hinder them
for they too
belong to God’s Kingdom
To the humble centurion
who pleaded for his servant
paralysed
and suffering greatly
I’ll come and heal him, He replies
Before healing
the paralytic lying on a bed
He said: Take heart
my son
your sins are forgiven
When confronted by men
who presented Him
a woman
caught in adultery
He got rid of them and forgave her
Arriving at the home
of the bereaved family
He wept
before Mary and Martha
at Lazarus’ death
Even at His dying moment
He responded
to a criminal
with these comforting words
“You will be with Me in Paradise!â€
Like a shepherd
He tends His flock
gathering the lambs in His arms
carrying them in His bosom
gently leads those that are with young
No wonder

Gentle Jesus meek and mild
