“My Word’s like a fire,â€
Every Word like a hammer
That breaks the rock
In sparks, thousands of pieces.
When God speaks, sparks leap forth.
Out of His mouth go
Burning torches, shimmering lamps.
Sparks leap out to light.
Catch the radiant fire, and not be scorched.
Gird with radiance with the sparks.
Days of dark winter
When bearers of doom come.
Vileness and hell-bent,
Despondent, dreary winter.
But, snow glisten in the moon light.
Footpaths slick with ice.
You gaze heavenward, longing.
Venture to the skies
Twinkling, shimmering stars,
You see the voice of the Most High.
Cast radiance from the flames
Of sparks among the kindled.
His Word abides true
With promises in His hand--
To light the world through piercing darkness.
Eyes gaze, hearts wander,
Every saint’s prayer radiates.
Praises spark upward.
Prayers, flicker rays to hope
Through dimmed and darkened world.
Through somber, sullen
Dark winter hole in dungeon.
Yahweh’s voice calls gently
From above, like twinkling stars;
Gleaming bright, sparkling crystals.
Even when the veil
Of darkness drawn across the sky,
Look up, the stars shine!
Glimpses of God’s Word in the stars
Comforts the night sky with twinkling light.
Though caved in the dark,
His Word lights our path to free.
His voice sparks courage
To walk in the light and trust
The name, Yeshua, Son of God.
