Newby has spent a good deed of her life avoiding her past. When she did confront it, it was through poems, essays, letters, and her music. Her writing provided her a healthy outlet, but no real healing from her brokenness. It took Newby almost two decades to find true healing through her rededication with God. For the first time in her life, she formed a personal with him. For Newby, that rededication was a personal fulfillment of Revelation 21:4. Her restored relationship with God has led to the birth of her ministry. Through it, God is using her writing gift to bless and inspire people through both her music and literary works.
