Kristin Stuckmyer is a freelance writer and aspiring novelist who has worked with writing extensively in her former position of a private practitioner of music therapy. As a private business owner, she was responsible for writing reports, emails, advertisements, website, brochures, and business cards. She also did a lot of song writing both with and for students.
Kristin began her collegiate journey at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, where she took general Bible education courses. She gained an associates from McHenry County College, IL, and then moved on to graduate from Western Illinois University in 1999 with a B.A. in Music Therapy. Kristin worked for many years as a board certified music therapist after her internship at the Center for Neurodevelopmental Studies in Glendale, AZ. She also worked as a piano instructor since 1990, and has had her students excel in state contests, and win the opportunity to go to state finals. She particularly enjoys helping people optimize their body positioning to greatest effect utilizing the Alexander Technique.
Kristin is a born again Christian, a home-school mom, an aspiring service dog trainer, an autism specialist, an exercise enthusiast, and a die-hard horse lover. She currently resides in Kenosha, Wisconsin with her loving husband, her two beautiful daughters, a German Shepherd puppy named Teddy, and an old silver tabby named Crystal.
