I am an early childhood and special education teacher who has worked in early childhood settings, primary schools, community services and teacher training. My key area of interest is the social and emotional development of young children. Brought up on the wisdom of Bible stories, I have often longed for these to be adapted to help teach modern-day children relevant life skills. This has led to the development of the Learn to be Buddies series. Dave is Brave, the first book in the series, was published in 2009. This book is inspired by the story of David and Goliath. It addresses the issue of bullying and resilience.
