I was born in New Orleans but grew up in Kiln, MS. I have also lived in San Diego, Chicago (were I served as a US Naval Hospital Corpsman). Most recently Jacksonville, NC (Camp Lejeune)and New Orleans (MARFORRES)because my hubby was an active duty Marine. This August we are returning to Tallmadge, OH when my husband’s enlistment is up and will be adding packing to our already crazy schedules. We were just stationed in New Orleans so that we would be close to my family in nearby southern Mississippi and had left a mere 2 months before Katrina hit. I am lucky in that my family is alive, but they are forever scarred as everything we knew of the area they live and I grew up in is gone. That is what got me writing again. I dealt with the overwhelming emotions by writing about the devastation. Once I saw it first hand last fall it made me more determined to make sure that Southern MS and New Orleans aren’t forgotten. Currently, I am freelance writing for various publications, working on several different fiction projects including my novel “Love in the Fast Lane” I am working on my Bach. Degree and doing the stay at home mom thing with my 5 year old angel. I am also a Certified Medical Assistant with over 12 years clinical experience but I since a back injury I find I enjoy the admin side of the medical field. I have always wanted to fix problems I saw in management and chose healthcare administration to actively do just that. I my older kidos are here with me for the summer and can’t wait to head to the beach for our last summer here at the ocean. I love NASCAR and all that is related to it. I am a HUGE Packers fan thanks to Brett whose dad taught me how to drive. I love reading almost as much as I love writing and combined the two loves so now I write reviews. I read anything I can get my hands on, so if you know of a good book, let me know. I am addicted to General Hospital, Sex and the City, Scrubs, Grey’s Anatomy and House. Law and Order (all versions) is my guilty TV pleasure. I love all music. I usually choose my music to suit my mood or to help me get into writing about a certain character.
