TITLE: You NEED To Know THIS!!

Target audience: Non-believers.
I know something that all people should know, and by keeping this knowledge to myself I am being greedy and uncaring. I want you to know my knowledge too, and the reason I want to share this with you is that I love you with every ounce of my being, so much so that I would give anything for you…even my own life. This knowledge is life changing and is the most important thing in the world. Above politics, above money and the economy, above religion, above your family and friends, this is too important to pass up. Some people who read this will be encouraged, others will turn away from me and ignore what I have to say, and still others will change their lives based on the truths in these words. Please, I’m asking a favor of you, whatever you think of what I’m about to say, keep reading, you need to hear this.

Everyday about 155,000 people die and leave this planet that we call “home”. An incredible statistic is that 10 out of 10 people die. That’s right. Now my question for you is this, are you ready? Do you know what happens when you die? Do you know if you will go to Heaven or Hell? You may say to yourself that when you die you will go to Heaven because you are a good person, well that reasoning sounds good. A good perfect place like Heaven is reserved for good people; well let’s see how you line up with being good!

To define good, we will use the Ten Commandments; they are a pretty good moral code. So let’s be honest and take a few minutes to see how we do. Have you ever told a lie? Well then, what does that make you? A liar, next question! Have you ever stolen anything…even if it was small? If you said no, I don’t believe you, you just admitted you are a liar! So that would make you a thief too. How about using the name of God in vain? Well that’s called blasphemy. So by your own admission, you are a liar, a thief, and a blasphemer. And those are just three of the Ten Commandments! The Bible says that God will punish all murderers, blasphemers, rapists, thieves, liars, adulterers, etc. He will even judge our words and thoughts. On Judgment Day, will you be found to be guilty or innocent of breaking His commandments? Guilty! So maybe you aren’t as good of a person as you thought you were, so is Heaven, a perfect place, going to be your destination when you die? That’s right! Not a chance in the world! God is a righteous judge and a lawbreaker needs punishment and that means Hell.

So how does anybody get to Heaven? Well, God is a holy judge so there still has to be punishment, but because He loves you so much, He sent His Son, Jesus, down to Earth to die on the cross and take the punishment of death for you! Then on the third day, Jesus rose from the grave and conquered death! Yes, it’s true! Nobody can earn their way into Heaven, but it is God’s gift to all people who turn away from their sin and ask for forgiveness through Jesus the Christ. This means more than believing in God or Jesus, the Devil himself believes! We should have faith in Him, in the same way you would trust a parachute to save you when you jump from a plane. You don't simply believe in the parachute - you put it on. Please, realize the crisis that you are in! Don’t take the time you have on Earth for granted! You don’t know when you will die; tonight you may have a brain clot and die! God doesn’t want you to die without putting on the parachute of Jesus. So now you have a choice to make. You can accept these words, accept the gift that God has given you, and when you die you will enter into eternal paradise with your Creator, or you can enjoy your sinful ways for now and when you die, endure the wrath of the Almighty God in Hell for eternity!

If you want to accept the gift, pray to God and admit that you are a sinner and ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus. Tell God that you believe in Him and that you know that Jesus is the only way to have salvation. Ask for a clean spirit and a new heart. Talk to God as if you are talking to a friend. Now, if you were to die tonight, you know without a shadow of doubt that you will enter the Kingdom of Heaven! Congratulations! The next step is to read the Bible as the Living Words of God and to find a church. I’m so happy that you have joined the family of God!

For all who don’t know Jesus as your Savior, remember this: Right now, God loves you and is actively in pursuit of your heart.
