TITLE: Honor-Bound By Jason Collins 01/31/09 |
|
To what do I owe this honor
You have bestowed on me?
I only ask because I feel
The weakening of my knees.
To wonder further would be a sin
It just seems surreal to me.
What can I do to show my thanks?
I am a simpleton you see.
Shall I dance or maybe sing for you
Or fetch some wine and cheese
Or maybe paint a scenic view
Your mountains, your frightful seas?
Please tell me sir, I beg you so
Please show me what you need.
All I have, I owe to you
Shall I plow and sow some seed?
What can I do for you?
What is it you want from me?
Do I need to help someone?
Shall I cook some kind of feast?
Oh my, Oh lord, Great king of mine
What could I possibly do for thee?
I beg of you, please tell me whilst
I am here upon my knees.
I feel so weak, so full of debt.
I will do anything great or small
I hear your words, It will be done
I will spread the word to all.
