GEORGE
In Your Memory
Memories come flowing through my heart and mind today;
I feel a little empty since the Lord took you away.
Your friendship, your kind advice, at times when I was down.
A helping hand, a firm word of advice, when acting like a clown.
You married my sister Doris, a family for to start.
Angela was the first child, her loss it broke our hearts.
God has a way to bless you, at times it takes awhile.
He gave you Shelley and Beverly, these children brought a smile.
Came the year of trial and testing, you ended up in a chair.
You worked so long and hard, life seemed so unfair.
Then you met our Savior, a new life had begun.
You became a new creation, in the precious one God's son.
I always did respect you, yet there seemed to be a wall.
Until the night we traveled from, Kenora to Ear Falls.
Loss of Brother David, our hearts were surely sore.
God in tender mercy gave us understanding, ever more.
George, the stories I think of, as I set here in this chair.
Happiest reflections of times that we all shared.
Playing cards or just chatting over coffee or a meal.
The times we spent in worship, the Savior we could feel.
Then came the day, He called you. To your mansion in the sky.
There was no one there asking or even wondering why.
Your life on earth was over, a new one had begun.
You entered into glory, with the precious one, God's son.
